Warrior Leveling Guide

Class – Warrior
Role – Tank, Damage
Armor – Heavy (Mail / Plate and Shield)
Has 3 fighting stances with different benefits
Uses Rage as a resource

Warriors are plate-wearing fighters who strive for perfection in armed combat. As warriors deal or take damage, they generate rage, which is used to power their special attacks.

Warriors can choose to focus on a two handed weapon, dual-wielding or using a sword and shield. Warriors have several abilities that let them move quickly around the battlefield.

Primary Stats – Strength / Stamina (a good balance of Stamina and Strength is desirable for a tank build)

Talents / Spec
Talent points become available starting at level 10. While leveling, you will only receive new powers to train in at even level numbers (i.e., 2, 4, 6, etc.), you will receive talent points at every level gain starting at 10. Don’t forget to allocate those points to augment your abilities. These are very important to the growth and development of your character. These talents may help your character with survivability, healing output, or damage output. Read the talents carefully when decided where to spend your points. That being said, let’s take a look at the Warrior talent tree.

Arms – This talent tree works to improve most of your natural abilities. The chance to land criticals and improve learned powers as you level will allow for constant increase of damage output by your warrior.

Fury – Through the Fury talents, you will gather powerful buffs and de-buffs that will allow for incredible bursts of damage over periods of time. Both Arms and Fury are higher damage output builds.

Protection – Your powerhouse tank build will include lots of points in this tree. With talents that increase your defensive stance to returning damage every time you block with your shield, every good instance or raid tank has points in the Protection line.

Remember, you can respec your character at any time if you decided that you don’t like where you have started to place your talent points. It’s important to note that while you can re-spec at any time, the cost increases each time you do with the first respec starting at 1 gold. Also, there are times when Blizzard makes significant changes to talent trees for one or all classes during a patch download. When warranted by Blizzard, all of your talent points could be refunded and you will need to take the time to re-allocate those points.

We'll be back with more additions to the Warrior Leveling Guide soon.
